Media Invitation/Photo Opportunity - Nike launches N7 in Canada with Four
Host First Nations CEO Tewanee Joseph and Aboriginal athletes

VANCOUVER , Feb. 11 /CNW/ - On February 11th , Nike will announce its commitment to increasing access to sport in Aboriginal communities across Canada through the Nike N7 program. Inspired by the Great Law of the Iroquois, "In every deliberation we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations," the more than 10-year program which currently exists in the United States and includes access to product and community support, will expand to include Aboriginal communities in Canada .

Nike General Manager for N7 Sam McCracken and N7 Creative Director Wilson Smith will be joined by Four Host First Nations CEO Tewanee Joseph and Aboriginal athletes to announce the initiative.

As part of Nike's expansion into Canada , Nike will be participating in a youth gathering Power of Sport gala dinner where Four Host First Nations CEO Tewanee Joseph and over 300 young leaders representing Aboriginal communities across Canada will join to learn more about N7 and celebrate their personal commitment to bringing sport and positive change to their communities. Nike kicked off its support of Aboriginal communities in January by providing new sports equipment for 20 remote Northern communities through the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Truce Northern Outreach Project.
