Media Invitation - Montrealers are invited to take a free 20-minute power nap from October 7-11 in a pod hotel in downtown Montreal Français
MONTREAL, Oct. 9, 2013 /CNW/ - The media is invited to take a power nap in downtown Montreal at the Breathe Right pod hotel. With eight individual sleeping pods located outside St. James United Church, 463 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, the pod hotel offers a place for tired office workers and passers-by to recharge with 20-minute power naps during the week of October 7-11, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Montrealers are deprived in the bedroom
A new Breathe Right survey reveals lack of sleep is widespread among Montreal residents, with 94 per cent of respondents reporting they get less than eight hours of sleep per night. As a result of a poor night's sleep, three-quarters of Montrealers report being less productive at work, one-quarter report being late for work, and 14 per cent miss work altogether. The survey also revealed sleep is so important that Montrealers are willing to pass up a night out on the town (56 per cent), a vacation day (49 per cent) , a free meal (46 per cent), and even sex (39 per cent), just for a good night's sleep.
The pod hotel offers a private, quiet sleeping environment away from busy nearby offices. Reservations are currently being accepted on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/breatherightcanada) for 20-minute nap times. Walk-up naps are also welcomed, pending availability of a sleep pod.
Interview opportunity: On Wednesday, October 9, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Sophie Lamarche, executive and management coach, will be present to conduct interviews discussing the power of sleep and its role in work productivity, tips for improving efficiency at work, and healthy habits for improving work performance.
