Media Invitation - Come Give New Life to the Ephemeral Forest this Saturday, January 21

MONTREAL, Jan. 19, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Space for Life invites everyone to keep the holiday spirit going by turning out to help create the Ephemeral Forest in the Grande Place near the Biodôme and Olympic Park. Join the celebrations on Saturday and help set up over 1,000 Christmas trees, where you can hang a message with your wishes for our planet's future. There will be hot drinks, entertainment and door prizes, too!

A collective work of art
For the second year, the Ephemeral Forest is coming to life thanks to the help of the Olympic Park and the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough, which picked up residents' Christmas trees after the holidays were over. There will also be some unsold trees donated by Christmas tree vendors. Young people from the Écolo-Boulot employability organization will once again be pitching in to prepare, maintain and take down the site. Lastly, the wooden labels on which people can write their wishes were made by young people from the borough's Boulot vers social and vocational integration firm.

The Biodôme, Insectarium, Botanical Garden and Planetarium are launching a daring, creative urban movement, urging everyone to rethink the bonds between humankind and nature. The Space for Life is also a place where people come together to create and to cultivate a new way of living, shaped by Montrealers and people from around the world.
