The Government of Canada increases its support for minority-language education and second-language instruction through a new agreement with the Yukon
WHITEHORSE, YT, Sept. 26, 2025 /CNW/ - Brendan Hanley, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs and Member of Parliament (Yukon), will make an announcement on Monday about minority-language education and second-language instruction. He will make the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.
Parliamentary Secretary Hanley will be joined by the Honourable Mike Pemberton, Premier of the Yukon, and the Honourable Jeanie McLean, Yukon Minister of Education and Minister responsible for the Women and Gender Equity Directorate.
