Media Advisory - The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life will take place in 17 cities across Quebec on June 6 and 13 Français
MONTREAL, June 4, 2026 /CNW/ - The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) invites media representatives to attend Relay For Life, which will take place this Saturday, June 6, 2026, in nine cities across Quebec. This fundraising event brings together participants of all ages across the country, who take turns walking around a course, as a symbol of perseverance, hope and solidarity. With the slogan "Celebrate every step," Relay For Life shines a light on the power of giving and collective action.
This year, Relay For Life can count on the dedication of three ambassadors:
- Actress Ingrid Falaise, who is involved for the second consecutive year and will participate in Relay in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on Saturday, June 6;
- Singer-songwriter-composer BEYRIES, a breast cancer survivor, who will perform on Saturday, June 6 at the Relay For Life Rive-Nord location in Terrebonne;
- Anthony Vallée, a Participant of Hope who is affected by advanced melanoma, will be present on June 13 at the Relay For Life in MRC de l'Érable, in Plessisville;
Each site offers a symbolic walk marked by meaningful moments, including the Lap of Hope, which kicks off the Relay. This inaugural moment celebrates Participants of Hope, people who have experienced cancer, or who are at risk of developing the disease. In the evening, the Luminary Ceremony lights up the route in tribute to those affected by cancer and in memory of loved ones who have passed away, creating a moving moment of reflection and solidarity.
