The Secretary of State (Sport) and Canada's FIFA Sherpa will meet with key partners in Vancouver to strengthen coordination ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26™.

GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 29, 2026 /CNW/ - The Honourable Adam van Koeverden, Secretary of State (Sport) and Canada's FIFA Sherpa, will be in Vancouver on Friday and Saturday to advance collaboration with key partners ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26™.

The Secretary of State will take part in a series of meetings with World Cup organizing partners and government representatives. He will also visit tournament sites to discuss preparations, including host city readiness and areas of continued cooperation.
