MEDIA ADVISORY: PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
OTTAWA, ON, Feb. 3, 2026 /CNW/ - Despite millions of Canadians still smoking cigarettes, Canadian law makes it harder for Canadians to obtain the information required to make an informed decision about whether smoke-free alternatives are right for them or their closest friends and family members. More information and greater access to these smoke-free products could help Canada reach its smoke-free future goals faster.
In response, Rothmans, Benson and Hedges has launched a "Smoke-Free Challenge" with select retailers to stop selling cigarettes for a half day and only offer smoke-free alternatives. These retailers are making a bold statement about changing habits and driving conversation around smoke-free alternatives.
What:
A photo opportunity at the second "Smoke-Free Challenge" location, where a local retailer has agreed to stop selling cigarettes and only sell smoke-free alternatives.
