TORONTO, May 7, 2026 /CNW/ - As Nursing Week begins across Ontario – a time typically marked by appreciation and public praise for nurses – the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) will hold a media conference to highlight the growing disconnect between recognition and the realities facing front-line nurses and health-care professionals.
During the media conference, ONA will announce significant legal action aimed at restoring the collective rights of the vast majority of nurses and health-care professionals in Ontario and, by extension, their ability to meaningfully advocate for systemic improvements to working conditions and patient care.
