LA BAIE, QC, Oct. 22, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, will announce a Strategic Response Fund investment in Rio Tinto Alcan and Aluminerie Alouette to support low-carbon aluminum production. The Minister will be joined by Daniel Gobeil, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Member of Parliament for Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, and Luc Boivin, Mayor of Saguenay.
