MEDIA ADVISORY - Minister Fraser and Minister Young to announce new support for Nova Scotia workers and businesses facing tariff pressure Français
GATINEAU, QC, May 11, 2026 /CNW/ - The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice, Attorney General of Canada and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and the Honourable Nolan Young, Nova Scotia's Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration, will announce new support for Nova Scotia workers and industries facing tariff pressures.
Minister Fraser will also announce the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency's support for Cherubini Metal Works as it continues to modernize its operations.
The announcement is being made on behalf of the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.
The ministers will be accompanied by Alana Hirtle, Member of Parliament for Cumberland–Colchester; Jessica Fancy, Member of Parliament for South Shore–St. Margarets; and Shannon Miedema, Member of Parliament for Halifax.
