As part of its work on defining "Canadian program" and supporting the creation and distribution of Canadian programming in the audio-visual sector, the CRTC will hold a virtual technical briefing to discuss its ongoing work to implement the modernized Broadcasting Act. The briefing will discuss the CRTC's latest decision that updates the definition of Canadian content for television and online streaming services.  

Notes: 

• Media representatives who wish to attend must register with CRTC by emailing [email protected] to obtain the Microsoft Teams link before 12:00 PM EST on November 18, 2025.
• Media who join via teleconference will have an opportunity to ask questions.
• This media technical briefing is for attribution; however, media representatives are asked not to rebroadcast this briefing in whole or in part.
