Two key events marking a decade of collective efforts in support of Quebec's littlest citizens
MONTREAL, Nov. 11, 2025 /CNW/ - The Collectif petite enfance is pleased to invite media representatives to two key events to be held during the 10th edition of Early Childhood Week. The first is a celebratory cocktail reception, and the second is a day-long activity looking back on what has been achieved in terms of mobilizing early childhood development stakeholders across Quebec and planning ahead for the future.
November 18
The evening reception on November 18 will focus on the progress made over the past decade and honour all those who have led the way forward in the early childhood development space. The event will feature:
- A speech by Kateri Champagne Jourdain, Quebec Minister of Families
- A presentation on the joint efforts by Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities as part of Early Childhood Week
- An interactive talk by Boucar Diouf on the importance of collaboration, drawing parallels between ecosystem biodiversity and the well-being of young children and their families.
The evening will conclude with an opportunity for attendees to mingle and network.

November 19
Hosted by Marika Sokoluk, this day-long activity will provide guests with an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and triumphs of recent years and then determine what remains to be accomplished in order to ensure all children in Quebec have the same chances to succeed. The program will include:
- A participatory workshop combined with a presentation by Julie Cailliau, Director of the Observatoire des tout-petits, entitled "10 ans d'ascension pour la petite enfance" (10 years of upward momentum for young children)
- A tribute to two pioneers in early childhood development in Quebec
- A panel discussion with five leading figures in early childhood development and collaborative initiatives from Quebec and First Nations communities
- A conversation between Elise Bonneville, Director of the Collectif petite enfance, Marie-Eve Brunet Kitchen, Commissioner for Children's Well-Being and Rights, Stéphanie Gareau, Acting President and Vice-President, Mandat Jeunesse, Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse, and Lesley Hill, National Director of Youth Protection and Associate Deputy Minister of Youth Protection.
