ABOUT SEARS NATIONAL KIDS CANCER RIDE
The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride is one of the biggest and most ambitious charity cycling events on behalf of childhood cancer in the world. Now in its 9th year the 2016 event is an emotional and inspiring adventure beginning in Vancouver on September 7 and finishing in Halifax 18 days later on September 24, 2016. Riding in relay style, national riders will each cycle approximately 150 km and 220kms per day. The riders will visit many of Canada's 17 pediatric oncology centres and hospitals where the cancer community will share inspiring stories of strength and hope with cyclists. Since the first National Ride in 2008, the event has raised over $11 million dollars in support of childhood cancer research in Canada.
