Media advisory - Governor General to celebrate excellence in public service journalism during Michener Awards ceremony Français
OTTAWA, ON, June 4, 2025 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will present the 2024 Michener Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
The awards include the Michener Award for meritorious public service journalism; the Michener-Baxter Award for Exceptional Service to Canadian Journalism; the 2025 Michener-L. Richard O'Hagan Fellowship for Journalism Education; the Michener-Deacon Fellowship for Investigative Journalism; and the inaugural Norman Webster Fellowships.
