MEDIA ADVISORY - Governments of Canada and Nunavut partner to support tariff-impacted workers and strengthen the workforce Français
GATINEAU, QC, May 20, 2026 /CNW/ - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, and the Honourable Dr. Gwen Healey Akearok, Nunavut's Minister of Family Services, will be in Iqaluit to announce funding to support workers and employers in tariff-affected sectors.
The announcement is being made on behalf of the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.
The Ministers will be accompanied by Lori Idlout, Member of Parliament for Nunavut.
