MEDIA ADVISORY - Governments of Canada and New Brunswick partner to support tariff-impacted workers and strengthen the workforce Français
GATINEAU, QC, May 20, 2026 /CNW/ - The Honourable Wayne Long, Secretary of State (Canada Revenue Agency and Financial Institutions), and the Honourable Jean-Claude D'Amours, New Brunswick's Minister of Post‑Secondary Education, Training and Labour and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, will be in Fredericton to announce support for workers whose jobs have been directly or indirectly impacted by global tariffs.
The announcement is being made on behalf of the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.
They will be accompanied by David Myles, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages and to the Secretary of State (Nature) and Member of Parliament for Fredericton–Oromocto.
