OTTAWA, ON, Aug. 7, 2026 /CNW/ -- Anita Vandenbeld, Member of Parliament for Ottawa West--Nepean, will participate in a commemorative event at the National Peacekeeping Monument to mark National Peacekeepers' Day. The event will include participation from Veterans, active members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and youth.
National Peacekeepers' Day was established in Canada in 2008 and provides an opportunity for Canadians to express the pride and respect they have toward members of the CAF, the RCMP, and provincial and municipal police forces, as well as Canadian diplomats and civilians who have worked in support of international peace and security.
