Media advisory - Government of Canada to announce investments for research talent, interdisciplinary research and research infrastructure

TORONTO, May 13, 2026 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, Karim Bardeesy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, will announce the results of the 2025-1 Canada Research Chairs cycle, the New Frontiers in Research Fund 2025 Exploration program and the John R. Evans Leaders Fund.

Parliamentary Secretary Bardeesy will be joined by Valérie Laflamme, Associate Vice-President, Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat.
