MEDIA ADVISORY - BC Broadcast Consortium Announces Media Advisory for BC Leaders' Debate 2026
VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 6, 2026 /CNW/ -- The only live, streamed and televised debate between party leaders in the 2026 BC provincial election will be held on October 14, 2026 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The debate will air on all major television and radio news networks (CBC BC, C-PAC, City TV, CTV Vancouver, Global BC and CHEK) across the province, and will be moderated by Shachi Kurl, President of the Angus Reid Institute. It will feature B.C. Conservative leader Lorne Doerkson, B.C. NDP leader David Eby, and B.C. Green Party leader Emily Lowan facing off on a wide range of topics critical to British Columbians. All parties agreed upon the debate participation criteria, which these three participants met.
WHO: The BC Broadcast Consortium invites accredited media to view the 2026 BC Leaders' debate and attend the post-debate media conference.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 14, 2026
Accredited Media registration: 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Media Conference: 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
WHAT: All party leaders will take questions about their debate performance.
WHERE: Location and additional details will be provided in email confirmation.
HOW: All accredited media MUST pre-register to attend the debate venue and post debate press conference.
***Media must be present at the debate venue before registration closes in order to attend the press conference. There will be no in/out privileges during the event. Space is limited and you must RSVP to which a confirmation will be sent. Attendees will have to show the confirmation and identification to register.
