| WHY: | For many people with spinal cord injuries, a lot of time is spent using a wheelchair. Snow has the ability to literally stop them dead in their tracks. Most snow-related events are simply not accessible… until now! | |
| SKI and SNOWboard DAY is chance for people with spinal cord injuries to embrace the snow by trying out sit-skis. Tim is one of many who found skiing - again - life-changing. Tim says, "the exhilarating part was the feel of the ski on the snow, the wind around you and the shear speed". | ||
| SKI and SNOWboard DAY is also a fundraiser supporting people with spinal cord injuries through the programs and services of the Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario. The event includes people with and without disabilities and features races, demonstrations, clinics and a silent auction. | ||
