- Weekend basketball festival includes appearance by Harlem Globetrotter and NBA star Joel Anthony -

WHAT:		A free weekend basketball festival that brings an authentic NBA atmosphere to Halifax. Local teams will face off in a 3on3 tournament and fans can participate in a three-point contest on the Right Guard Court or watch the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown. There will also be a performance by Harlem Globetrotter Buckets Blakes and an appearance by Joel Anthony, of the NBA Championship winning Miami Heat, who will have the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy in tow.

		Saturday, September 8: 3on3 tourney starting at 12 p.m. with event highlights including:
		12:00 p.m.	3on3 Tournament begins
		12:30 p.m.	Performance by Harlem Globetrotter Buckets Blakes
		2:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.	Joel Anthony media availability
		2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.	Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown (Joel Anthony and Buckets Blakes to help judge)
		7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.:  Joel Anthony will be signing autographs at Future Shop (208 Chain Lake Drive) with the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. He'll also face off in a game of NBA2K with three local players.

		Sunday, September 9:   3on3 tournament continues starting at 12 p.m..
