The Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Veterans Affairs to Announce Federal Funding for World Wars Commemorative Campaign
TORONTO, March 29, 2016 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada, will launch new multi-year bilingual commemorative campaign entitled From Vimy to Juno on Thursday March 31, 2016 in Toronto. This National Travelling Exhibition and Education Campaign will explore the connections between two defining moments in Canadian history and the experiences of Canadians who fought in both world wars. Developed by the Juno Beach Centre Association (JBCA), the initiative will be launched in the presence of Second World War veterans, currently serving Canadian Armed Forces personnel, and members of the military community.
