Media advisory - UPS Pulls for United Way!

Test of might boosts strength of local non-profit organizations

TORONTO, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - In partnership with United Way, UPS Canada will be conducting truck pulls in Montreal and Toronto during the month of October. The Toronto truck pull will take place on Saturday, October 17, at 12 p.m. at the UPS Toronto Hub facility.

Watch as teams of five people compete by pulling a UPS truck - weighing over 8,000 pounds - in a trial of strength and speed. Multiple teams have raised $250 for the truck pull, while teams of 10 people have raised $500 to pull a tractor trailer. All proceeds raised go to United Way of Greater Toronto. The three fastest teams to pull and the top fund raising team will be awarded prizes.

UPS Canada is committed to growth not just through its day-to-day business operations, but also through strengthening the communities in which its employees live and work.
