This March, the Liberal government announced a new tuition fee framework that will see tuition fees increase three to five per cent each year for the next five years. Students in Ontario already pay the highest tuition fees in Canada. High tuition fees have driven student debt to record levels, with average debt for a student with public and private debt at $37,000.
The Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario represents more than 300,000 college, undergraduate and graduate students.
