TORONTO, March 4 /CNW/ - A groundbreaking conference on the future is giving key federal politicians a chance to map out their ideas and observations about where Ontario could be heading between now and the year 2020.

Liberal Justin Trudeau, New Democrat Peggy Nash, and Conservative Gary Goodyear will address delegates to the "Ontario 2020" conference at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto on Friday, March 5. Speaking times and media availabilities are as follows:

    Justin Trudeau, MP, Papineau, will speak on "Youth, Education, and the
Future of Canada."

    Peggy Nash, President, New Democratic Party of Canada will speak on "The
Future of Work in Ontario."
    -   Address: Friday, March 5 at 12:40 p.m. in the Civic Ballroom,
        Sheraton Centre
    -   Media availability: 1:00 p.m. in the Civic Ballroom

    The Honourable Gary Goodyear, MP, Cambridge, and Minister of State
responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario,
will link discussion of today's federal budget to a longer-term vision of the
Canadian Economy.
    -   Address: Friday, March 5 at 1:30 p.m. in the Dominion Ballroom,
        Sheraton Centre
    -   Media availability: 2:00 p.m. outside the Dominion Ballroom

Conference participants will work hard over the course of the two-day conference to build and discuss possible scenarios of the future in four key areas: the economy, community, health care and education.

Ontario 2020: Shaping Our Future Together is an initiative of Warren (Smokey) Thomas, president of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union.
