Media Advisory - Toronto Pearson welcomes its 40 millionth passenger of 2015, ranking amongst the world's largest airports

TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2015 /CNW/ - On Monday morning, Toronto Pearson International Airport will host the Hon. Marc Garneau, Minister of Transportation, and Her Worship Linda Jeffrey, Mayor of Brampton, to celebrate surpassing 40 million in annual airport passenger traffic, making it the first in Canada to do so.

Minister Garneau, Mayor Linda Jeffrey, Howard Eng and airline executives will address members of the media and attendees. One passenger will be identified and celebrated as the official 40 millionth passenger and will be presented with a gift.  

Visuals include photo opportunities with Howard Eng, Minister Garneau, Mayor Linda Jeffrey and airline executives in the domestic baggage hall of Terminal 1. All media are welcome to attend the event and capture live footage / sound / photos of the 40 millionth passenger celebration.
