COCHRANE, AB, Sept. 26, 2012 /CNW/ - A grassroots fundraising campaign has raised over a ton of pennies, in support of the organization Right To Play, helping underprivileged children in West Africa.

		Federal or Provincial politicians "drop the last penny".
		Capture history as Canada's most successful penny drive comes to a close as the penny goes out of circulation. A landmark event for Canada!
		First delivery of pennies will be delivered by stagecoach by the Cochrane Posse via Main Street Cochrane.
		Official Penny weighing and delivery to the Cochrane Alberta Treasury Branch.

		Lunch will be served.
