CG artists collaborate and showcase their 3D models in a real-time web environment
TORONTO, June 8, 2012 /CNW/ -
What: Verold Inc. invites members of the media to preview the Verold Studio, to be demonstrated through a handful of the top 3D artists in Toronto duking it out in a fast-paced CG (Computer Graphic) Art Battle.
3D CG artists face a large, very painful problem today. They have nowhere to showcase their work in its full glory outside of a video game environment. The Verold Studio tackles that problem head on by allowing CG artists to showcase their 3D models in a real-time web environment, with tons of collaboration features that allow artists to more effectively tap into their ecosystem - be it feedback from their peers or praise from their fans.
When: Thursday, June 14th, 5 - 7pm.
Where: Loft 404, 263 Adelaide Street West, Toronto
To showcase Verold capabilities, the event will flow through several rooms and will feature some of the best fusion middle eastern food this side of the planet.
Discovery Room - Discover what Verold has built and how their technology will make game and virtual world development accessible for anyone. Verold dares you to imagine a world where anyone can create their own game, or endlessly modify existing ones to suit their individual tastes - without the years of technical know-how and wizardry it requires today.
Vision Room - Performances by Chris Hatzopoulos, JeffTheWorld and DJ Finish Him will create an interactive audio/visual experience powered by audience participation.
Developer's Corner - Meet the Verold development team and learn more about the code that powers the Verold Studio. Plus meet local indie game developers who are the future of gaming.
Verold Art Battle - Watch artists crank out 3D content live for a chance to win $1000.
3D in the browser is about to bring new exciting experiences to the web that will better connect people, places and products. However, creating 3D today is a complex, time-consuming process. Verold knows there is a better way forward.
The Verold Studio - and its ability to allow artists to easily share their work - is the foundation of a comprehensive platform that brings together artists and programmers, and users of their combined work. Verold will make it possible for anyone to create immersive games and virtual environments, using them as a language to communicate.
