Media Advisory - The Holidays are Heating Up

What: Traditionally, the holidays are the most dangerous time of year
for fires and fire fatalities in Ontario. Cooking fires are the
leading cause of home fires.
The Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) and Toronto Fire Services
(TFS) are holding a news conference to show the many ways the
public can prevent fire from occurring in their home during the
holiday season. There will be live demonstrations on cooking and
candle safety and the importance of working smoke alarms.
