TORONTO, May 14 /CNW/ - On Monday, May, 17, 2010, the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons will be discussing new premises standards that will improve patient safety in a wide variety of settings.
The approval of these standards is a vital next step in the College's patient safety initiative which was developed to enhance the regulatory oversight of physicians who perform cosmetic and other procedures and the facilities in which they practise.
The Council meeting will take place at 80 College Street, Toronto, Ontario. The meeting begins at 8:30 and this agenda item is scheduled for 9:45 a.m.
Dr. Robert Byrick, chair of the Premises Inspection Committee will be available for interviews following this Council decision.
