Students have been calling for an end to unpaid internships in Ontario. Currently, there is no reliable data about the number of unpaid interns in Canada, but estimates suggest there are between 100,000 to 300,000 interns across the country.
The Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario is the province's largest student organization, representing more than 300,000 college and university students in all regions of the province.
