Quote:
"Drs. Daya and Chander Gupta are both leaders in their fields of medicine in Manitoba. Dr. Daya Gupta has been practicing Ophthalmology for nearly 40 years in the province and has developed a very close relationship with and respect for CNIB. Having seen the kind of services CNIB provides for people who are blind and partially sighted, the Guptas wanted to make a significant contribution.
Their donation to CNIB has been designated to the low vision program, providing assistive technology and devices to people who are partially sighted. Understanding the value of education, the Guptas have also provided two annual scholarships to assist Manitobans with vision loss to pursue post-secondary education.
Their philanthropy will allow CNIB to continue its mission to make a difference in the lives of people who are blind and partially sighted."
