Media Advisory - Running for his Life and the Truth
KINGSTON, ON, Jan. 20, 2014 /CNW/ - United Steelworkers Local 2010 (Queen's University Staff and Academic Assistants) will host renowned labour leader Napóleon Gómez, who, under threat of murder, fled his native Mexico for a life of exile in Canada. Gómez will speak about his charge of "industrial homicide" against a Mexican mining company after 65 miners lost their lives in a 2006 disaster, his life in exile in Canada and his recent book on the mining tragedy, Collapse of Dignity.
