VANCOUVER, Oct. 29, 2012 /CNW/ - Operation Red Nose BC and provincial sponsor ICBC will officially introduce two important new community partners and some exciting new sponsors at a fun-filled provincial launch at 10 a.m. next Friday, November 2nd at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby.
The launch will celebrate 17 years of volunteers providing safe rides home during the holiday season, with 14 host groups offering rides by donation in more than 25 different BC communities on Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 31. All sponsor fees and ride donations will go to non-profit organizations that support youth and/or amateur sport in local ORN communities.
Global TV personality Steve Darling will preside over an inter-active launch that will include announcements and surprises from Operation Red Nose Chair and former Olympian Chris Wilson; popular ORN Mascot Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer; BC Lions All-Star Centre and Celebrity Spokesperson Angus Reid; City Mayors and city staff; Police Partners; volunteers from new and existing ORN communities; and representatives from KidSport in various Lower Mainland communities.
