Media Advisory - RCMP TO SEND LAST SHIPMENT OF TOYS DESTINED FOR KIDS IN THE
NORTH
TORONTO, Dec. 20 /CNW/ - The RCMP in partnership with the Toronto Zoo will be sending the last shipment of toys destined for "the North Pole" as part of the continuing toys for the north initiative. The Toronto Zoo participated in the "Toys for the North" toy drive that was initiated by the Toronto Santa Claus Parade Committee with the goal of bringing smiles to children in the North.
A photo opportunity will be held at the Buttonville Airport where the RCMP aircraft will be returning to Iqaluit, Nunavut with the toys.

Santa Claus will be in attendance with two live reindeer and will load the toys in the aircraft with the assistance the Commanding Officer of the RCMP "O" Division (Ontario), Chief Superintendent Norm Mazerolle as well as RCMP veterans, representatives from the Toronto Santa Claus Parade Committee, representatives from the Toronto Zoo and Nick Kypreos (former Maple Leaf).
