Media Advisory - Photo Op: Volunteers packing medicine for Haiti

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Photo Opportunity: 1) Volunteers will be packing Physician Travel Packs (PTP), mobile medical kits containing essential medicines and supplies donated by Canada's pharmaceutical industry, for Haiti.

2) Pallets of medical aid for Haiti are being assembled at HPIC's warehouse.

A spokesperson will also be available for interviews.

Health Partners International of Canada (HPIC) is a relief and development organization dedicated to increasing access to medicine and improving health in the developing world. HPIC is working with its partners, both in Canada and in Haiti, on a significant mobilization of medical aid. Medical teams on the ground are equipped with PTPs, more are leaving shortly and HPIC is working on major shipments with NGOs, such as UNICEF and World Vision.

HPIC is the main channel for the Canadian pharmaceutical industry's donations of medicine.
