Media Advisory - Photo Op - Family Day rally asking the government to deliver
on its promise to make building a family more accessible in the March 2010

Cost of IVF prohibits many couples from having a family

TORONTO, Feb. 11 /CNW/ -

What: Couples from across the GTA will assemble the Building Blocks
to Build Families on Family Day to ask the Ontario government
to keep its promise and expand OHIP coverage for in-vitro
fertilization (IVF). This is a final call to the Ontario
government to fund IVF in the March 2010 budget, a decision
that could save the province millions of dollars in long term
              health costs.

The event will begin with the building blocks being assembled
and conclude with participants being invited to dismantle the
building blocks (made from 100 boxes of diapers) and carry them
to a truck which will deliver them to a local shelter.

legislature at Queen's Park to illustrate how much the Ontario
government could be saving by funding IVF treatments.
