Media Advisory - OHC Announces Major Cross-Province Initiative Regarding
Small, Rural And Northern Hospitals

TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ -

The Ontario Health Coalition in partnership with dozens of community
groups in rural and northern Ontario, are announcing a series of
cross-province activities. This group initiative is a direct response to
the uncertain future of small, rural and northern health care, as a
result of hospital restructuring. Local hospitals are facing ER closures,
elimination and privatization of hospital services and programs, and in
some instances the closure of entire hospitals.
