HALIFAX, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - The Nova Scotia Teachers Union is holding a rally at Province House in support of Community College faculty and professional support staff today starting at 5:30 p.m.
The 930 Community College members have been without an agreement since August 31, 2008. They are set to walk off the job on Tuesday. The NSTU has sought binding arbitration to settle the outstanding contract issues to avert a strike.
Members of the NSTU's provincial executive, meeting in Halifax today, will also be in attendance at the Nova Scotia legislature during today's meeting of the House.
