MEDIA ADVISORY - New operating contract to be awarded for SW Ontario regional drinking water systems

TORONTO, Jan. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - On Thursday, January 19 the Board of Management for the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System and the Board of Management for the Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System, in partnership, will select a new operating and maintenance contractor for their two water systems following a year-long public procurement process. The two water systems provide clean water treatment and transmission services to 14 municipalities located between Lake Huron and Lake Erie supplying 500,000 people living and working in the region with drinking water.
