TORONTO, March 5 /CNW/ - The Ministry of Mines of the Republic of Colombia and the Colombian Government Trade Commission in Canada today announced that it will be presenting an exclusive seminar "Colombia Mining Responsible Development" at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada ("PDAC") 2010 International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange. The presentations will be hosted in Room 714-B, South Building Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) Toronto at 8:00 am on March 9th.
Keynote speakers for the event will be the Colombian Minister of Mines and Energy Mr. Hernan Martinez Torres, the Canadian Ambassador to Colombia Mrs. Géneviève Des Rivières, the Colombian Ambassador to Canada Mr. Jaime Girón Duarte, the Director of Ingeominas Mr. Mario Ballesteros Mejia, and the Colombian Trade, Tourism and Investment Commissioner in Canada Mr. Rodolfo Móseres Dieppa.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the performance and the future opportunities of the Colombian mining sector, including initiatives to further develop the industry and attract foreign direct investment.
A question and answer period for members of the media will be held immediately following presentations between 11:00 and 11:30 in Room 702, South Building Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC)
