VANCOUVER, Nov. 19 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) will provide media with another opportunity to receive an overview of the Vancouver 2010 Anti-Doping Program followed by a live demonstration of the doping control process on Friday, November 20 in Kamloops, BC.
The media opportunity is part of an international training workshop VANOC is hosting in Kamloops from November 19-21 where volunteers will receive training in the latest anti-doping technological breakthroughs and fine-tune procedures for the 2010 Winter Games.
The announcement to hold the workshop in Kamloops was made last May by VANOC and the Province of British Columbia as part of its commitment to bring as many Games-related benefits as possible to communities throughout British Columbia. The conference is sponsored, in part, by the BC Road Builders Association and Heavy Construction Association.
