MEDIA ADVISORY - LA MARCHE VERTE - 2000 PEOPLE IN THE STREETS OF
TÉMISCAMINGUE
MONTREAL, Nov. 7 /CNW Telbec/ - On Monday, November 8, La Marche Verte will be held in Ville-Marie, Témiscamingue. This historic event will bring see more than 2,000 people come together to sound the alarm and send a clear message to the Quebec government. Over 250 businesses and organizations will close their doors to join the movement, as will the region's four high schools. Témiscamingue's decision makers will also participate in the Marche, including the four chiefs from the area's native reserves. Everyone will march together to show their solidarity and support the demands of Témiscamingue.
What: | La Marche Verte, which will bring together more than 15% of the population of Témiscamingue to sound the alarm over the economic situation in the region and make the Quebec government aware of the area's specific needs and why it is vital to change certain laws and government programs. |
