OTTAWA, Nov. 25, 2014 /CNW/ - As of 9 a.m. this morning, Hydro Ottawa is reporting a small number of power outages in the City of Ottawa, affecting roughly 550 customers. Hydro Ottawa expects to have the majority of customers restored by early this afternoon.
At the height of the storm, there were more than 8,600 customers without power, caused by high winds and fallen tree branches on wires. Hydro Ottawa crews have been working since the storm hit late yesterday afternoon and throughout the night to restore power to thousands of customers.
If customers see a downed wire, please stay at least 10 meters away and call 911 immediately.
We thank our customers for their patience as we continue to work to restore power.
