MILTON, ON, March 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Champs Family Entertainment Centre, North America's first PlaydiumLite entertainment complex, will officially open its doors to the public today at 11:00 a.m. in Milton, Ontario.
The multi-million dollar, 30,000 square-foot, facility (located at 300 Bronte Street South) is home to 20 Brunswick-pro and cosmic lit bowling lanes, 55 arcade games, a virtual golf simulator, a laser maze, billiard tables and many more game features in addition to four party rooms and an upstairs mezzanine.
Champs' multi-faceted and state-of-the-art gaming space is similar to other Playdium complexes (such as in downtown Mississauga) but scaled-down in size, entitling it to PlaydiumLite status - a model that other entertainment centres throughout the continent are likely to emulate.
The facility is also home to Champs Sports Bar and Grill, a brilliantly decorated lounge-style sports viewing and eating area that includes two 18-foot projector screens, 18 flat screen televisions, and a ticker tape scoreboard.
Co-owners Monty and Laurie Kuntz say Champs Sports Bar and Grill combines excellent food with a stunning sports viewing experience and pooling the best aspects of leading sports bars in the Greater Toronto Area into one spot, drawing parallels with Toronto's Real Sports Bar.
Champs Sports Bar and Grill is also decorated with floor-to-ceiling sports-themed murals painted by local artist Elliott Callan of print and graphic design service company FL Signs.
Champs Family Entertainment Centre will begin serving the public today and is open to take reservations for special events. The ceremonial Grand Opening will be held at the end of March.
