Media Advisory - GOAL!! Local kids score big chance to play Pond Hockey with
the big boys
Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy brings mentors and hockey celebrities into Alberta communities, creates memories and helps keep the tradition of pond hockey strong. Celebrating its eleventh year, players aged 9 and 10 are paired with their local heroes from the WHL and NHL for a short skill drill session and a game of shinny.
Since 1999, more than 4,200 kids from across the province have participated in Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy.

All activities will be outside on the lower ice rink (the lake) with
exception of autographs at the end of the ice session. Autographs will be in
the lower recreation room.
1:00 PM Kick-off of Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy
- Announcements by ENMAX, Hitmen, and Community Association
1:10 PM Puck-drop photo
1:15 PM Teams one to three on the ice
10 minute skills warm-up
45 minute shinny with the Hitmen
12 - 14 Hitmen will be at the event. Hitmen will rotate
between shinny session and skating with the community,
handing out hot chocolates, and mingling throughout this
event.
2:15 PM Team Photos
All five teams and Hitmen players on the ice for photos

2:25 PM Break (25 minutes as ice is resurfaced)
