IFIE-IOSCO Investor Education Conference June 20-21, 2013 in Toronto
TORONTO, June 18, 2013 /CNW/ - The Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) is hosting the fifth International Forum for Investor Education (IFIE) and International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Global Investor Education Conference from June 20 - 21, 2013, at the Hilton Hotel in Toronto, Ontario.
The conference theme focuses on changing investor behaviour across life stages - children and youth, working years and retirement. IFIE Chair and IIROC President and CEO Susan Wolburgh Jenah and IOSCO Secretary General David Wright will lead an exciting line up of high-profile speakers from North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific Region.
Regulators and investor education practitioners will share best practices and learn about new research, tips and tools for implementing effective financial education, financial capability and investor literacy/education initiatives and programmes within their countries and organizations.

Chartered in 2005, the International Forum for Investor Education (IFIE) is an alliance of 28 organizations of regulators, industry associations and other interested stakeholders from 15 countries that promotes higher standards and information sharing in financial and investor education.
