Media Advisory - FCM releases report on municipal role in fighting climate
change

OTTAWA , Dec. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - In the lead up to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) will release a report on the municipal role in fighting climate change. The report will be launched near the beginning of the COP15 negotiations, taking place in Denmark from December 7 to 18, 2009.

FCM 2nd Vice-President Berry Vrbanovic, municipal councillor for Kitchener, Ont., will release the report during a conference call briefing December 8, 2009 . Vice-President Vrbanovic will be joined at the report launch by FCM CEO Brock Carlton , FCM Policy & Research Director Michael Buda , and one of the report's authors, Dave Sawyer of EnviroEconomics.

Both Vice-President Vrbanovic and FCM CEO Carlton will be in Copenhagen for the UN conference.
