TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2013 /CNW/ - At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) will be releasing student achievement results for each school and school board for the 2012-2013 Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary Division (Grades 1-3) and Junior Division (Grades 4-6). Elementary schools and their boards will be able to speak about their results at that time. For each school in the province, EQAO will also be publishing a report that tracks the progress of students from assessment to assessment.
As in the past, EQAO will also release a full provincial report on the elementary school assessments.
On September 25, school and board reports will be released for the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics as well as for the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. A full provincial report on the secondary school assessments will also be released on this date.
The provincial reports include results for subgroup and school contextual data, a summary of assessment findings, strategies for success and profiles of schools that are using provincial assessment results to support their own improvement planning. The profiled schools are notable for their demonstration of leadership, data-driven strategies and whole-school approaches to help every child succeed.
The reports and school, school board and provincial results will be posted on EQAO's Web site, www.eqao.com.
