MEDIA ADVISORY - Ending Homelessness in Alberta: A Research and Collaboration Strategy
CALGARY, April 21, 2015 /CNW/ - The Calgary Homeless Foundation, The School of Public Policy, Homeward Trust Edmonton, Alberta Centre for Child, Family & Community Research as well as 7 Cities on Housing and Homelessness will host a symposium to share advances in data collection to bridge the gap between academia, government and community stakeholders to impact public policy and end homelessness. This free event is generously sponsored by Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP (BD&P).
This two-day symposium will feature many high profile speakers including:
- Keynote by Dr. Stephen Gaetz, Director, The Canadian Observatory on Homelessness/Homeless Hub; President, Raising the Roof and Professor, Faculty of Education, York University.
- Keynote by Dr. Tim Aubry, Faculty of Social Sciences Research Chair in Community Mental Health and Homelessness, Professor, School of Psychology and Senior Researcher, Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services, University of Ottawa.
- Dr. Ron Kneebone, Area Director, Economic and Social Policy, The School of Public Policy, University of Calgary.
